For new vehicles, specify the version
State the model year, full trim name, exterior and interior choices and any required factory options. For the 2026 06 Relive, do not shorten the brief to “06 high specification” when Max and Ultra have defined equipment differences. Ask how the proposed vehicle’s condition, identity and commercial status will be documented. A marketing description of “new” should be checked against the actual transaction and destination requirements before procurement is confirmed.
For used vehicles, set measurable criteria
Provide an acceptable production-year range, mileage ceiling, trim, powertrain, colour preferences and condition limits. Explain how you want prior damage, repairs, cosmetic condition and service information to be reviewed. Where information is unavailable, keep that limitation explicit rather than filling the gap with an assumption. Used vehicles should be assessed individually; photographs of another car or a model brochure do not establish the condition of the proposed unit.
Agree what inspection should show
Ask for a dated vehicle-specific inspection record with identifying details and suitable photographs or video. The scope should cover the condition and equipment matters agreed for the purchase, rather than imply an unlimited guarantee. Review keys, accessories and any features essential to your customer. If an issue changes your acceptance decision, resolve it before confirming the vehicle, and retain the agreed outcome with the order file.
Compare the complete proposal
A lower vehicle price does not by itself decide between new and used sourcing. Compare the confirmed condition, equipment, destination suitability, document requirements and agreed export services. Used and new vehicles may have different procurement paths and cannot be assumed to share the same preparation schedule. Send the criteria that matter most to your business so the sourcing proposal can address the actual order rather than an undefined request for the cheapest 06.
China-market manufacturer specifications. Equipment, software, connected services and export suitability must be confirmed for the selected vehicle and destination.
