Separate language from connected services
Ask which languages are actually available in the instrument cluster and central display. Then check navigation, voice control, applications and online services separately. A translated menu does not establish overseas map coverage, voice support or account availability. If a dealer will prepare customer-facing instructions, record the demonstrated software version and the functions tested so the sales team can explain the vehicle accurately.
Test the intended phone connection
Manufacturer lists may mention particular phone-integration systems, but compatibility should be tested with the customer’s intended device and operating system. Confirm whether the link is wired or wireless and what functions are available during use. Do not describe one integration platform as another, or assume that a feature on a different model applies to this vehicle. A short demonstration is more useful than a generic screenshot of the home screen.
Ask about accounts, updates and local support
Some functions depend on an account, mobile data connection or service availability. Ask who creates or manages the necessary account and what can be transferred to the eventual customer. Discuss update handling and any known limitations without assuming that an overseas service arrangement exists. Any proposed software change should be described clearly, including what is changed, who performs it and how the original vehicle state is documented.
Keep a vehicle-specific acceptance record
Create a checklist for the functions that affect your purchase decision and save the corresponding demonstration with the order record. Distinguish confirmed, not tested and unavailable functions. For a batch, check whether all vehicles share the same hardware and software specification. A successful test on one car should not silently become a promise for every model in the shipment. Confirm unresolved items before procurement rather than after the vehicles arrive.
